Assessment & Referral, Treatment and Prevention
Salt Lake County Substance Abuse Services offers three primary types of services:
- Our Assessment and Referral Unit is staffed by licensed
therapists that assess and refer clients to licensed, subcontracted treatment
providers in the community.
- Treatment services are provided through contracted, licensed
agencies. Our system is not a direct service system, but a fully subcontracted
system of local, community-based service providers.
- Prevention services are provided by contracted agencies like
school districts and other prevention providers.
